If you look at the song lyrics, try to think about who might be talking.
Perhaps the world? How we're killing it? Or maybe even God.
"Hey you, see me, pictures crazy...."
Could that be referring to pictures of the God in cathedrals and churches? The crazy part being how we've pictured him all along? Or maybe the world. Pictures of our world, and how amazed some people are with those sort of pictures. Or, how absolutely crazy all the pictures we're seeing now are. Our forests: gone. Our air and water: polluted. Our animals: dying and becoming extinct.
Don't forget. The title of the song IS Air, Trees, Water, Animals. Everything that makes up the Earth (aside from earth itself). We're killing it all:
Air: We're polluting.
Trees: We're cutting down to no end.
Water: We're polluting it, and running out of fresh drinking water.
Animals: We're killing them directly, and indirectly (such as garbage and pollution).
"You don't care about how I feel."
We no longer even think twice when we cut a forest down, kill an animal, drink a glass of water, or work in a factory.
"Hey you, are me, not so pretty..."
We're not good people for what we've done on this world. That we can accept. And because of what we've done, our water is no longer clear, air in no longer pure, forests are becoming landscapes of stumps, and animals are just...dying. They are no longer "pretty".
"Silent my voice, I've got no choice."
In everything we do everyday, ATWA (Air, Trees, Water, Animals), have no choice in the matter. We just kill them all mercilessly. And we never hear anything about it from them, because they cannot speak.
Finally:
"All the world I've seen before me passing by...."
They've all been on this Earth longer than us. This can simply be a statement implying that.
"I've got, nothing, to gain, to lose...."
They don't. I believe this line came after the one mentioned just above, because they've been on this world longer than us, and they've always survived what has happened on the planet. Either that, or because we're killing the planet itself, no matter what we do, they die anyway, so what's the point?
That's my interpretation. Long, I know. But...hey.

ATWA was used as an acronym for "Air, Trees, Water, Animals" but was also considered as "All the way alive." Just a little tidbit.

I was looking up lyrics for ATWA on google, and I found this one site, and it has the abbreviation for ATWA as "Association on Third World Affairs", this could be because of the Armenian Genocide, it would make sense because of the third world country thing. and maybe this is supposed to be seeing the genocide through the eyes of a person hiding and watching the world "passing by" him, and the "pictures crazy" line might be when people see pictures of the genocide they think how crazy it is, and when they scream "you don't care about how I feel, I don't feel it anymore" its saying that the armenian army has found the guy that was hiding, and they don't care how he feels when he is pleading for his life, and then he dosnt feel it anymore, because they killed him, and that's why he "doesnt eat, dosnt sleep, dosnt feel, and doesnt live anymore". This makes a lot of sense to me, but I could be wrong.

Okay, to the guy above, atwa has completely to do with charles manson. Atwa was an organization he started, which stands for air, trees, water, animals.

Just a question, why does almost every song interpretation end up in a pathetic argument? Lol.

I'm not going to try and interpret this song, but I will say that it's to do with manson. Manson wasn't a satanist though. He was a cult leader who believed (or at least told his disciples) that he was the saviour reincarnated. Not a satanist, wiccan, buddhist, mormon or anything else someone will try and attribute him to.

ok I think I have it figured out....this might sound crazy but maybe serj is singing in the place of our earth....what else has seen the whole entire world pass before its eyes......i think its talkin about all the pollution and shit.....we don't care about it anymore.....in one of their live shows serj was talking about polluting the earth and he seemed pretty passionate about it so I think that's why they wrote this song

I think this song can be considered a political song. About seeing everything going on around you being the little man and not being able to change a thing. It focuses on how governed we are by democracy in our countries and how we as drones can't do anything to change it we have to just watch.

The songs is talking about Charles Manson's Theroy ATWA (Air, Tree, Water, Animal) He is talking about how the government doesn't care about the point of view that is coming from anyone that is in prison. When he says I don't sleep anymore he means that there is no more air. when he says I don't eat he means that all of the animals are dying and there won't be any food to eat. when he says I don't live he means that once all 4 of those things disappear then we are F**ked.

I know that this has nothing to do with system or this song but let me clear this up about Manson, he never told his children (yes they were his so called children in the Manson family) that he was a saviour reincarnate, he brainwashed them using acid lsd and suchlike drugs into believing that there would be a black vs white war he called Helter Skelter. at one point they lived on an old movie ranch for a prolonged period of time, they were always acting and making up characters using the movie sets, this was how Manson managed to get rid of there real personalities (now I'm just going off on a tangent) end of the day Manson was not a satanist or anything like that just a brainwashing drugged up hippie

I think it could possibly be about suicide.
"Hey you, see me, pictures crazy"
could mean like their family members looking at pictures of their lost child or brother or whatever
"All the world I've seen before me passing by"
could mean they see everything they lost or missed out on and it's forced right in front of their eyes.
"nothing to gain or lose."
There's no point to anything anymore and obviously you've already lost it all.
"You don't care about how I feel"
"I don't feel it it anymore"
could mean they thought someone didn't care about them, and now obviously they can't feel it anymore.
I figured it went along the lines of something like that :S

The songs about charles manson ATWA is the name of a group (not sure what the abbreviation stands for) that has been fighting to free charlie for years. Serj got to talk to Manson shortly before he wrote this song. And hes write what did he ever do? are people not responsible for their own actions?

well i read the song lyrics and they were really meaningful to me. this song shows how many people that are treated different and are different, feel about themselves when nobody really cares about them. "hey you see me, pictures crazy. all the world i've seen before me passing by." is like a way of saying that the world leaves this person standing and just doesn't care. "you don't care about how i feel, i don't feel it anymore." is a way of telling people "fine i don't need you to care for me." and that's the way i feel whenever i hear this song.

I know it's about Manson, maybe it's sort of like how Manson got to the point he was, and the lyrics are relating to it.
"you don't care about how I feel, I don't feel it anymore"
"Ive got nothing,to gain, to lose."
I think once you realize you're everything it makes the world seam so fucking crazy and you seam crazy to it, so fuck em, shake shit up and wake shit up.
