Expanding on the previous post.

Darons friend commit suicide ("...Blew off his mother fucking head") and he blamed himself ("evil lives in the motherfucking skin") because the were "best of friends, painted in red" (maybe meaning photos)

that's what I think, anyway.

This song contridicts the meaning of "chop sewy" because even thought his friend killed him self he wants him to be at peace.

"now you fly in peace,i hope, my friend"

sysem of a down might think that it was fate (that his friend killed himself)

"a man can't avoid what he's meant to do, when he's meant to do it, even if he doesn't really want to"

and he blames god that he died.

"why the fuck did you take him away from us you mother fucker?"

Oh yeah, I don't know what I was thinking when I said that he committed suicide I've never heard of any soil songs. Could someone give me a link to the band if you could find one?

While most of you are accurate about darons friend.
the song is named soil.
because soil is what bring forths life.
daron does not blame his friend for his decision.
"A man can't avoid what he's meant to do,
When he's meant to do it,
Even if he doesn't really want to,"

and the bottom line of this song is
Don't you realize,
"Evil, lives in the mother-fucking skin"
most people think of evil as ghosts dark figures demons and the like. but the truth is. and I'm going to say it the most evil are mankind/

Don't know exactly how relevant it is here, but both Serj and Daron were in a band called Soil just before system of a down. Perhaps the name is in part a homage to them?

It is most likely that this song is about Daron's friend committing suicide. Some have stated that Daron is angry at his friend for doing this, but it seems that lines like "a man can't avoid what he's meant to do" and "why the fuck did you take him away from us you mother fucker" suggests he doesn't blame his friend, rather someone else, i.e. The mother fucker he's referring to in the last lyric of the song. The person he's referring is either some sort of religious figure such as God or just no one in particular, rather it's just a way for him to vent his anger.

My consolations go out to Daron for the loss of his friends and my compliments to System for making an awesome song.
