Ok, so... "All our secrets they are tailored trouble. Draped loose now around your hips. You're spotless instincts are valid. We co-exist." {tailored trouble} makes me think of little things that really shouldn't be big problems, and the chick picks out things and makes them seem worse then they are {Draped loose now around your hips}, but they stick together{We co-exist} "Got 26 days to work with. (Got 26 days.) We got 26 days to work with. (It moves, it moves, it moves.) We'll see what all gets done." When I first heard this it make me think of the menstrual cycle, which is averaged at 28 days(time it stops to the next time it starts), so maybe it's a jibe at how some women use their periods as an excuse to not do something so this chick's not on it{got 26 days} there's no excuse not to do what needs to be done {see what all gets done} "I'm an addict for dramatics. I confuse the two for love. You can tell me that you don't beg." I'm not sure...he seems to get into these types of situations that can blow up easily{addict for dramatics}and the girl doesn't think she purposely makes things worse for the sake of it{You can tell me that you don't beg}...IDK "Liar. (Liar.) If we're keeping score, We're all choir boys at best; Intrusive and arrogant. Liar. (Liar.) If we're keeping score, We're all choir boys at best; Intrusive and arrogant." The guy doesn't believe that she *accidentally* makes things worse{Liar} and she doesn't go for his saying she does{(Liar)}. He thinks that if she believes she's so rightous{Intrusive and arrogant} then he must be to{We're all choir boys at best} "Got 26 days to work with. (Got 26 days.)" As stated earlier. "Then back on that island, That you swear by. Still barely can afford. It's still a question of, "How long will this hold? " Well is it any different? (I said this is all done.) Now that we are home, oh, Don't you go there, not here. Not now. (It moves, it moves, it moves.) Not here, not now." The girl thinks that a vacation will cool their chops {back on that island,That you swear by} but once they get back to reality it goes back to how it was{we are home, oh,Don't you go there}. "I'm an addict for dramatics. I confuse the two for love. You can tell me that you don't beg." Already said. "Liar. (Liar.) If we're keeping score, We're all choir boys at best; Intrusive and arrogant." Stated earlier. "Liar. (Liar.) If we're keeping score, We're all choir boys at best; Intrusive and arrogant." Stated earlier. "We're all choir boys at best." "Liar. (Liar.) If we're keeping score, We're all choir boys at best; Intrusive and arrogant." "Liar. (Liar.) If we're keeping score, We're all choir boys at best; Intrusive and arrogant." "Liar. (Liar.) Liar. (Liar.)" He's calling her a liar 'cause she won't cop to making things worse, she's calling him a liar for implying such a thing. "It takes one to know one." If he's such a liar then so is she. Sorry it came out soo long, but that's what I think. Post what you think.

oh wow----your interpretation was so good. I agree with a lot of what you said-like they fight a lot about certain things-and the menstrual cycle thing seems right too-their number's a little off but if their problems are drapped loose on her hips he might be referring to something going on down there with her. and the spotless instincts being valid--nobody knows her body than she does. plus he says she begs--maybe for the sex even though she can't. So they go one the island to sort things out and then end up fighting anyway once they get home. and I think the chorus means that if they're really keeping score of who's a liar and who's the more honest one of the relationship they're both gonna say that they're perfect like some choir boy but really they are intrusive and arrogant and use some innocent image to hide behind. So it's like don't play innocent with me because if you can call me a liar-u're not so great urself b/c it takes one to know one.

wow. both of yours are way better than mine. I thought it meant something about a guy in prison and he has 26 days until he's put to death and he's lying about everything and in the video--> I saw a lie detector test. So basically he lying about everything covering up for his girlfriend or wife & he's got 26 days to work with his lawyer on whats gonna happen.

This song is an allusion to the book "lord of the flies." If you read the book the song makes perfect sense. The book is about a group of boys who were stranded on an island for 26 days. "Got 26 days to work with (got 26 days) Then back on that island That you swear by Still barely can't afford It's still a question of How long will this hold?" there were also a group of choir boys who were the hunters on the island. "If we're keeping score We're all choir boys at best (Intrusive and arrogant)" I'd point out all of the allusions to the book but the whole song is about the book. Read the book, its worth it.

SO CREEPY becuz my class just finished reading lord of the flies. So reading your interpritation it makes PERFECT sense. 26 Days to work with- the boys are stranded for 26 days On the island that oyu swear by- they always swear on the island Choir boys at best (intrusive and arrogant)- all the boys happen to be in a choir we coexist- they barely make living toghther the ariplane in the video- that's how the boys got stranded they're airplane crashed also in the vid they were all toghther at first then you see them seperate- exactly what happens in the book i also think that adam is supposed to represent Ralph the leader who gets resuced.

a girl and a guy are having a secret affair and the girl is saying its okay to do it "Your spotless instincts are valid we coexist"the guy agrees with her instincts and they "get toghether" "We got 26 days to work with (it moves, it moves, it moves) We'll see what all gets done" maybe they only have a certain amount of time to be together and the guy wants to do as much as he can with the time they have "I'm an addict for dramatics I confuse the two for love" it means that the guy likes to mess around and he confuses those feelings for love he then tells the girl that she's asking for it "Liar (liar) If we're keeping score We're all choir boys at best (Intrusive and arrogant)" the girl claims she's looking for something real and the guy knows its not going to be "real". He knows that she knows its just a fling and he's saying she can't blame it all on him because they both made a move "It's still a question of How long will this hold?" the guy tries staying with this girl but he questions if its going to work. "Is it any different now that we are Don't you go there not here, not now" the guy is wondering if its any different that theyre are trying to be a couple instead of a fling, the girl starts a fight with him thats all I got I hope its good :)

I have a feeling it's about him calling out the lie a girl made, saying she got pregnant by him just to keep him around. It just sounds so familiar as to what has happened to me and some of my friends in the past (after our relationships failed and were fading away, our girlfriends tried keeping us around longer by saying they were pregnant. We then had to wait the 26 days to find out if they were lying. Thank God they were!) "All our secrets ... We co-exist." - They both lie to each other, and now she's wearing one of her lies around her hips (i.e. She's prego!) "Got 26 days to work with" - until she receives her next period. If she doesn't, well, that confirms it. "It moves, it moves, it moves" - the baby inside her, or so she says. "Back on that island ... How long will this hold?" - more of a situation, like she's in her own world and trying to "trap" him in it. He doesn't think it'll last. "Don't you go there, not here, not now" - She breaks the news to him, he starts to panic. "Addict for dramatics, I confuse the two for love" - All the lies and problems associated with their relationship. He calls it love, but isn't sure anymore. "It takes one to know one" - Confirming they're both liers.

It so is about 'lord of the flies', or something based around it. We watched the movie in school last year and it makes perfect sense now.
