   first time i heard this song, my tears fall down on my cheeks coz it seems like i am the taylor swift singing this sad song.. yes. it happens in my life.. i am so mad with my bf because it coz seems like he doesn't care at all.. he don't need me anymore.. he is happy with others.. so i asked him to leave me..and it really hurts knowing he will just let me go.. but all i wanted is him.. i need him more and more.. but he didn't even notice it..i always waiting for his call but its already one year after we broke up.. i didn't still receive any phone calls or even text from him and i am still waiting... though he will not come back anymore

   I think that the meaning of this song really speaks for itself.
   If not obvious, it means that she is mad at him and dislikes the way she is treated but at the same time, loves him no matter what. It's like asking someone to do something but really wanting the opposite.

   In my opinion, this is not about realizing that love is everlasting, but it's more about sacrifices.    The girl in the song - I suppose that's Taylor - has been cheated by the one she loves. She screams "Leave!" and she slams the door, but deep inside she's hoping he'll throw pebbles to her window pane screaming "I'm in love with you" under the pouring rain, even if she won't admit it.
   The song is about the conflicting feelings of being mad at someone but, at the same time, needing them desperately and willing to forgive everything, because, after everything, love is stronger than anything else.
