   They never talk much.. They've had a past.. but it faded. They'd rather live without the talking, without the fighting.. and just hold the smile as they remember all the good times.
   He is ashamed of loving her. She is ashamed of loving him, it is a secret, they are apart, but together all the while.

   I believe this to be about love. How the guy is still in love with the girl (or vice versa) but the girl is starting to lose touch or forget the love that the he showed her.    My interpretation is that this song is more about life. Not so much a couple, but of course this song could have a million different meanings. It could be about a disease, where they're dying and it is life they love, but because of their disease/condition, they just feel that they have to let go of life. The secret part is more about diseases people don't want to talk about like anorexia. Just in general about people loosing the will to live. And the watch over bit where the world is crumbleing down, it could be life or your religious figure saying don't let go.

   They don't want to face the problems in their relationship. They stay together through everything, and they basically have eachother trapped, because they are scared to be without eachother.    I think it’s about two people who like each other but never really say it cause they're unconsciously waiting for the other to do so. They get used to what they have that they never become more. So they are stuck in a place where they feel they don't have a right to each other but still they can't help feeling jealous when they do. They go back and forth between trying to forget and making up after fighting all the time because they need each other too much to let go. And despite all, they cling to what they have even when it's less than what they want because it makes them happy and they don’t know how else they could.
