None of the songs on "deloused" are related to jim ward, the bands sound manipulator who died of a heroin overdose a month before the album was released. However. "frances the mute" had some references to ward, but most of the album was about a journal which jim ward found when working as a repo man and realised that this man's life was similar to his own.
