Wounded is about a woman who was raped. She is the speaker's girlfriend, but she has changed so much after the incident that she will not touch him, or go out with him and their friends.

Like some of their other songs, like Jumper, Wounded says I know it is hard for me to understand, but I'm only here for you. You will feel better if you change your attitude and change your actions, and go back to the way we were, as hard as it is to do so.

Be strong and don't let it get to you: "Back down the bully to the back of the bus/'Cause it's time for them to be scared of us...You're a summertime hottie with her socks in the air/screaming I don't care, baby I don't care."

The song basically says, be a survivor, not a victim.
