Lore has it that one of Dee's childhood friends, Eugene Shlomo, introduced him to the song at the Bat Mitzvah of a mutual friend. Dee changed the original title from 'We're Not Going To Honor The Unjust Policies Of A National-Socialist Dictator Without The Due-Process Of A Democraticly Appointed Senate and Court System' to the more catchy 'We're Not Gonna Take It (...anymore)'. Shortly thereafter a lone wolf howled, the south wind blew cold, I tugged on my beard and my hat fell off. The End.
