This song is about Jerry Cantrell and Layne Staley, needless to say the singer and guitarist of Alice in Chains. Cantrell and Staley had a turbulent relationship, in that Jerry Cantrell went for more pop-rock sound, and Staley went for a more underground, heavier, metal-esque group. This caused a push-pull of the groups two MVPs. "You think it's funny, well you're drowning in it too". But through it all, they will always be friends.
