   While I was in High School my best friend at the time wrote parts of the lyrics to this song for me-she said that it was right for our situation. This song is definitely about suicide, but more than that. Waiting. Maybe not necessarily someone who is super hell bent on succeeding in this task, but someone who just needs to wait it out- as hard and scary that can be. He is singing about how he understands the pain that this person is going through- but that he is there to go through that pain right along side that person.

   This song most definitely is about talking sumone out of committing suicide.
   some examples in the lyrics are :: "...but I'll make you a deal if you make it out alive..."
   "contemplating hanging from your ceiling" (well that was pretty much flat out on the whole suicide thing!)
   "now you're worse than sad.." the depression driving the person to commit suicide (duh!)

   Well in my opinion... This song is about Suicide... knowing someone who wants to commit suicide... & trying to talk them out of it... esp the last few lines...
   idk... maybe its because my best friend committed suicide... I can't help but listen to this song and think that that's what it is about... and I wish I knew it before she died cause I would have sung it to her everyday...
