So What'cha Want Lyrics

Well just plug me in just like I was Eddie Harris,
You're eating crazy cheese like you'd think I'm from Paris.
You know that I'm fly...

What do they mean when they say:
"I want you off the wall, if you're playing the wall"

I thought it might be a jab at Pink Floyd but I read that another beastie boys song pays homage to pink floyd.

i heard this from mike d and mca in some chat room aol beastie boys interview circa 1998

"they" all 3 beasties were big on watching/paranoid for 1 hit wonders..for lack of a better term...a person/band and would study what was up with the 1 hit wonder and why they couldn't make a second decent record yet still caught the public's attention.. (the quest for the unavailable anthem).....from what i hear all 3 "study modern music" lol if you have an ipod and a healthy greedy ear....so can you

the song is about telling def jam/ third base/the rap business that they will go out on their own take their chance with another label (capital) and make it bigger and better than def jam ever could have steered them.

it was an embrace towards an underground culture that they thought they could make a buck at. Like their punk rock heroes bad brains and black flag....but by using faith no more's approach and the urban dance squad's style...the beasties made them self relevant to a culture (GEN-X) who never had a culture to begin with.

70's tv shows, tv dinners, smashed bottles and random pranks just because right?

The generation who sees through the bullsh**

    generation x

It's about the shit with def jam and Russell Simmons owning them money. It's also a subliminal stab at 3rd bass.
