This is what mark said about Lemmings: "Lemmings are animals which follow one another and run off of cliffs into the sea to their deaths. The song is about an old friend of mine who expected everyone to follow what he said was correct. Most of the time, what he thought was correct was really idiotic. He expected us to be lemmings..."

This song represents having friends you had fun with back in the day and how you will miss those times...But you can't follow them like lemmings forever...Particularily when one changes for the worst so parting ways was smart so you don't become a "lemming to the sea".
