Well,my interpretation is that,she loves this person so much,and she kind of misses the person,her love is so deep,she's going to love the person for a thousand years and will wait for him for a thousand more years.

I discovered this song when I was 9 months pregnant and it stayed with me. When my newborn, Emma Rose was 6 weeks old she was born with diagnosed with a terminal seizure disorder. Doctors prepared me that Emma’s death was imminent. Until Emma’s diagnosis I waited for her to make eye contact with me. I waited for her to smile at me. I knew something was not quite right. After she was diagnosed she was in the hospital for 28 more days. I knew I had to face a world without her. I would watch her alone in her crib and I did not want her to feel afraid to pass on and leave her momma alone. I wanted her to know that I would always be with her. I suddenly remembered the words of this song. Darling I have waited for you a thousand years, I will wait for you a thousand more. I sang to Emma, watching her stand alone and that she should not be afraid to take one step closer to leaving me behind because I would love her and hold her close to my heart forever more.

A Thousand Years is about a girl/woman waiting for her love and it seems like a thousand years. Or better search for the real interpretation of this song.

If you want to get pregnant, choose the right guy, be sure the feeling is mutual. Be sure he wants kids. Be sure you have the same values and dreams when it comes to marriage and having kids. But don't get married just for the purpose of having kids. That's not what marriage is all about. Marriage is is a union between two people who are in love, it's about companionship, respect, trust, loyalty, commitment, staying together through thick and thin, etc.

I wrote this song to my boyfriend William he’s in England right now but when he looked at me in the eye, but he’s so nice and he wrote this song with me we had a duet together, but he’s British I’m interested into him I’m in love with William. He’s so nice and awesome and amazing guy. I love him Jonas brothers loved the royals but when my wedding starts Jonas brothers are holding my dress and veil. But nick is going to put his hand underneath my arm and walked me down the aisle, he stayed with me until we’re done with the marriage, but I would carry a baby with me, that’s joes daughter. But this year I might carry a baby for me. It’s for nick. It’s a baby girl.

When you cast your eyes on your soul mate, your heart starts to beat faster, colours become brighter with a euphoric feeling, You are joyful, promises are made possibly indicating commitment although distance seems present.
Furthermore this is a fearful love, the draw and depth is so strong that fear stands in the way.

This song is making me emotional but Christina had the most beautiful voices Christina is my favorite artist. She’s absolutely gorgeous.

My girl’s father died of depression. We were at the age of 17 and finished our secondary examinations. A month later her father committed suicide in his office. Imagine a little girl lost her dad’s love and passed away without leaving any last words to her and her mother. This song reminds me of how sad was it during that particular time. Luckily now I’m able to feed them by my very own hands.

A harmoniaus love song sung by the lovely CHRISTINA PERRY in/for these ''awakening present times'' that have caught up with us in her time, where she really seems to have met her loving soul mate with love to reign together with him as one who always loved her. From the beginning and during the one thousand years that were once robed from them with the resetting timeline that kept them sadly apart. Up until their souls mate each other's eyes again in that special frozen moment, where time began to stand still for her, like being in a heavenly presence of love that she always felt about him. I like this song, it reminds me of my great gram. I remember the day I last saw her, we were at her nursing home with my grandmother and we had to drop of papers for her, my sister and I had to go to the bathroom o we went,walked out and asked her questions on how she was doing and then said goodbye. so we left and I thought I would see her again but that was the last time I ever saw her.
this song also reminds me of my older sister Madison. Before I was born Madison my older sister was born and she was a chubby little baby and my mom took her home. ONE MONTH LATER, and my moms mom was holding her and then her heart stopped beating and then they tried getting to the hospital and then she died in my moms mom arm.
I also remember when my first pet oreo passed away from sickness.
my grandpa rob was in the army and one day he found out that he had a type of cancer (I don't know what kind)and he was in the hospital and passed away and so every time we are up with my grandmother we would try to find time to go and visit his grave and this one time I wen with my younger cosines and brought flowers and a united states flag and we went to see the grave and I wondered what he would be like if he was still alive today. -

From watching the film, official video and reading the lyrics I think that it is about being to scared and then regretting it and seeing them go off with someone else that you hate and think won't treat them well and trying to come to terms with it of how you have loved them for ages and how you struggled every day and now they're gone for good and how you struggle with that. I know this song really well because I experience the message every time I see the boy i'm in love with. I'm not even a teenager yet so this song helps me understand everything.
I think the song is about being painfully and unconditionally in love. You would wait for them forever and it feels like you have. You are both afraid but you just want to reassure them that you won't hurt them and they are safe with you.
It is about knowing that there is much to be risked by putting your heart out there, but you know it is the best and worst feeling in the world and you won't regret it.
The line "one step closer" is about slowly working up the courage to tell them you love them. After a lot of secret glances or hidden smiles, you are slowly getting closer.
