   The way I always interpreted it was that the girl (possibly his sister) was marrying a black guy and he didn't like it because he is a racist. He kept threatening the non-white guy by saying "nothing is safe in this world" and told the girl to marry a white guy stressing the words "WHITE wedding" multiple times during the song.

   My,my none of you get this song. Clueless! Perhaps it wasn't meant this way, either of the two interpretations, and this isn't MY take on the song. Number 1: Wicca uses this song as a new member becomes a witch...notice the witches digging a hole outside the church.Next,
   nails are pounded into the coffin to the beat of the song. Then, the wedding party from hell, then blood is drawn as he slides the ring on her finger.
   Number two is more Badass and who would want anything to do with white supremacy, not me, but they do claim this song. A "white wedding" yeah. "I've been away for so long" is *Hitler* talking. "It's a nice day to start again" means raising the spector of the Third Reich, again, AND everyone in the church raising their arms halfway to salute Hitler, *heil Hitler* didn't ANYONE catch that? and of course, destroying the church even though there are only white people in it... The bike, and the bike driving through the stained glass. Crystal clear.

    I believe that this song is about his sister as well. However I think that he is upset that his sister is marrying the bastard that knocked her up and he is a horrible man that beats etc. So then when Billy Idol asks his sister who her superman is, it is him who saves her from her husband who is hurting her therefore there is a double meaning for the use of shotgun in the song. So there is the shotgun wedding in the traditional sense and the shotgun of the brother coming to rescue her from her abusive husband. So when he is saying that its a nice day to start again, she doesn't have to worry about her "husband" anymore because Billy took care of him with a shotgun. Then he mentions that he has been gone for so long he has been in prison serving time for killing the husband and when he gets out his sister is back on the same path yet again.

    When you watch the video, you see then throughout the video making hail Hitler signs. I think because of that " White Wedding " is a reference to white people uniting, no matter what the propaganda might lead you to believe.
