Always You Lyrics

I wait in the rain but I don’t complain because I wait for you
I don’t feel pain, you’re like novocaine, and I got you

It was always you
It was always you

Time and again I thought that the end was just around the bend
But you showed me...

I think this song is about someone struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts, and the person that she is referring to is someone who helped them get through it or stop it. When the lyrics say, "I wait in the rain but I don’t complain because I wait for you
I don’t feel pain, you’re like novocaine, and I got you" it shows that the person aids them through their battle and helps with the sadness or thoughts. Not only that, but when the lyrics state, "Time and again I thought that the end was just around the bend
You but showed me there’s more, I got more in store, and I got you" it implies some sort of suicidal thoughts and that the person made them want to live once more.
