He is telling a story singing about how addiction to alcohol and drugs can kill and destroy ones life . He is telling the drugs and alcohol that “ You’re not my God “
He is now sober and the drugs and alcohol can not destroy him because God will heal the addict . I think everyone who is an alcoholic or addict should here this song . For me this song is a life changing experience especially with Keith Urban singing it . He is now sober and showing how wonderful life is sober . This disease does and will kill people. I myself am battling getting sober and this song is such a blessing to me . I feel so blessed to have come across this powerful song !
