Blind Lyrics

Are you ready?!

This place inside my mind, a place I like to hide
You don't know the chances. What if I should die?!
A place inside my brain, another kind of pain
You don't know the chances. I'm so blind!

Another place I find to escape...

"It's just this monster riff, and lyrically it's about me feeling that I'm blind to people taking advantage of me, blind to my depression, just blind to everything." – Jonathan Davis and to correct it was wrote with JDs ex band mate ryan shuck. he sued them for not getting any credit. the outro is cypress hills lick a shot too. Glad this helped!

Blind is about drug addiction. The "Blind" part is about not being able to see anything but his addiction. This song is all about how John's focus in life was only drugs, and he was "blind" to everything else. The last part "I can't see I can't see I'm going blind" is him drifting further from reality and becoming more consumed. When your addicted to drugs you don't care much about anything or anyone around you and you only want to fuel your addiction with more.

Regardless of who wrote this song, I think it's about dissociating, or going inside yourself...and the sensation you experience there of being unable to see what's beyond the blinding fog you're lost in...I don't think it has to be about a drug related fog.

here r the real lyrics it ls the abuse of using drugs.

This place inside my mind, a place I like to hide
You don't know the chances. What if I should die?!
A place inside my brain, another kind of pain
You don't know the chances. I'm so blind!

Another place I find to escape the pain inside
You don't know the chances. What if I should die?!
A place inside my brain, another kind of pain
You don't know the chances. I'm so blind!

Deeper and deeper and deeper as I journey to
live a life that seems to be a lost reality
that can never find a way to reach.
    My inner selfesteem is low.
How deep can I go in the ground that I lay?
If I don't find a way to see through the gray that clouds my mind.
This time I look to see what's between the lines!

I can see, I can see, I'm going blind...
    I'm blind

I think that this song is about a person who is used by other people and is suffering because of that. It talks about lies and maybe about the use of drugs to escape from the pain.

I don't think that the "Are you ready?" means anything at all, but it's really cool.

    Then...

"There's a place inside my mind, a place I like"

I think that the one who's saying this is the person who uses the other. He's saying that there's a place inside his mind where he hides the truth.

    "You don't know the chances"
He's saying that he has no limits. He doesn't care about hurting the other one. He will keep on lying, although the other one is suffering.

    "What if I should die?"
The one that's saying this is the person who's being used. He's realising of what is happening; he knows that there's someone using him. What if he doesn't want to do what the other one asks him? What if the liar needs him to die?

    "A place inside my brain"
The same meaning of "there's a place inside my mind".

    "Another kind of pain"
The new place inside the brain of the ohter person, the new lie, is equal to a new pain for him.

    "You don't know the chances"
    ...

    "I'm so blind"
He realises that, in fact, people use him and lie to him.

"Another place I find to escape the pain inside"
Maybe he don't know what to do, so he escapes the pain by taking drugs; the drugs are his way of escaping.

    Later...

"To burn, to burn, to burn..."
I think that this means that he's going to "burn" his attiude. He's going to stop it.

"... cause I'm trying to live a life that seems to be lost reality"
He finds himself cheated by others, so he finds out that his life is in fact a "lie".

"I can't never find no way to reach mi inner self"
Maybe he's refering to the inner self of the other person.

"I'm staying so low. How deep can I go in the ground that I lay if I don't find a way to see through the gray that clouds my mind?"
He's been beaten; he's so low... and he wonders how much more he can be, how much people can take advantage of him if he doesn't make up his mind and realises of what's going on.

"This time I look to see what's between the lines"
This is very clear. Is the final stage. He's looking forward to know what do people exactly want of him.

They are just my feelings... maybe I'm right, maybe not, but...

    GREAT SONG!

Jonathan Davis wrote this song with sex art and reinvented it when he went and started koЯn. So don't post bullshit like your mom's ex-boyfriend wrote ass whole.

First off for the guy at the top of the page...If your step dad wrote the song he couldn't take anyone to court unless it had a copyright which I doubt it did considering he wrote it in ten minutes did he go publish and everything in about 25 minutes, no.... and jonathan davis wrote this not about fighting drug addiction but enjoying it cus he is a freak lol...once again I don't know and noone will know what the song is about except for Jonathan Davis

Is this not supposed to be about the point of the song not who wrote it and not some bullshit a 12yr old made up and the rest along those lines. Have no idea what the song is about even though I listen to it consinatly. The most I ever thought of towards the meaning was that whomever the speaker(not particularly the singer but the person whose point its told from) is being deceived hence the line "I can see I'm going blind"

Your all wrong. Jon is just trying to scare all these fans. He states "Are you ready?!" So yeah.

This song is about how everybody has their own secret, private, and special place inside their heads and that those who try to invade this space should just fuck off.

Blind was written by John wen he was in a band before KoRn called Sex-art ...it less heavier, mor pop rock. It's about drug problems. nothing to do wit a snotty kid writing wtf!

Sorry, I made the very first interpretation of this song (The one right above this one)and I'm not necicerilly wrong, but I sort of am. Korn didn't write this song, my mom's ex-boyfriend, Dennis, wrote it(yes I'm 12 years old).
Dennis is a good friend of the members of Korn. He had a dream about the song one night, and when he woke up, he wrote the song in 10 minutes. Dennis let Korn play his song at some shows, and it made them famous. Dennis later sued Korn for song rights. No-one but Dennis really knows what this song is about, but Jonathan Davis (Korn's lead singer) relates this song with his drug problem. All of this is 100% correct, my mom witnessed it all

Jonathan relates this song to his drug problem, and how the drugs blind him.
