Marry the Night Lyrics

I’m gonna Marry the Night
I won’t give up on my life
I’m a warrior queen
Live passionately
Tonight.

I'm gonna Marry the night
Gonna make love to the stars.
I'm a soldier to my own emptiness.
I'm a winner.

Gonna Marry the Night
Gonna...

I think this song is a little morbid and suicidal. You marry the dark, and the night...You drink alcohol, use drugs, and have sex on public places...all that is eventually going to kill you.

This song is about 'staying with the night'. Partying all night and having a good time... clinging onto life, never to let go.

Gaga is saying that she wants the night to last forever and that she doesn't want it to go to waste... she wants to take advantage of the night and 'marry it'.

I think it's a suicide song. I'm gonna marry the night means that one has been bullied or abused and just wants to end it all! I'm not gonna cry anymore means the same as the previous lyric.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

It's a comment on a type of gay, single lifestyle.

"Put on some leather and cruise, i'm a sinner". This pretty much says it all - cruising/cottaging is a historically gay activity. Been going on for years, way back to Victorian times and beyond.

One of the stereotypes of gay culture is also late night partying and sometimes excessive drug use. "Marry the night" is a way to literally say - "I'm gonna embrace this lifestyle even though people will hate me for it."

I do also agree with the "living in the moment theme" - it could mean 100's of things to different people and that's the true beauty of any song, but given gaga's knowledge of gay culture and the cruising reference i'm willing to bet it was originally written as a gay themed song.

Marry The Night: To marry something means to be in deep love with it, and Lady GaGa finds that she is inlove with a New York City night, attracted to it's beauty and night life atmosphere.

To me, "Marry the Night" is about living in the moment, and enjoying a fun night with your friends. It's obviously very sentimental to Gaga when it comes to New York, but it can be related to personal experiences as well.

I think this song is about Lady Gaga's relationship with new York and how the experiences she refers to have helped her to become the artist she is today.

I think this song is simply about living in the moment. I think the song is saying that we need to charish each night of our lives.

I don't quite know what this song means but in an interview she said it described New York.
