Lifehouse: Storm Meaning
Storm Lyrics
-
God is amazing! How he melds a wrong into right. The song storm, also amazing..
-
This song literally is about life and the “storm” you go thru. It also sounds religious at times with phrases like “I will walk on water” and “you will catch me if I fall”. The main line that seals it as being religious to me is “I know you didn’t bring me out here to drown, so why am I ten feet under and upside down?”. Clearly he’s speaking about having faith in God’s plan but not understanding his situation relative to that. Of course it ends with “I know everything is alright, everything’s alright”, which means he trusts a higher power enough to take the stance of knowing it will all be ok in the end. Jason Wade doesn’t get nearly enough credit for being a very meaningful songwriter who has double meanings in his songs. Beautifully written.
