This album has a lot of political songs, songs just about identity and breaking away from those trying to confuse you or silence you. There are a few songs about death as well, leave out all the rest and shadow of the day. So I think this track is about awakening from some hold, whether that’s moving on past this world or just fighting mental constraints. So this makes sense as the opener title
