This song is about Cassie Bernall. For those of you who don't know, this song is directly related to the Columbine Highschool Massacre of April, 1999. When Eric Harris bent to shoot Cassie Bernall, he allegedly asked the question "Do you believe in god?" And when she answered "yes" He shot her.

Okay what happened was that a girls named Cassie and a girl named Rachel were both shot after saying yes to believing in god..

The song Cassie is about the columbine high school shooting in 1999.Cassie Bernall was one of the students who was killed. Lacey Mosley the lead singer of Flyleaf was expressing that Cassie was killed because she believed in god, and as you know the band Flyleaf is a Christian band. The columbine shooters asked her if she believed in God. She said yes, and they shot her. She was still alive, the shooters asked her if she still believed in God....and she replied you know I do. The killers committed suicide right after they killed over 10 people. Rachel was also killed for believing in God.

Okay. For all those taking pity on Eric and Dylan..yes they were killed....after they killed other people. Anyway the song says Do you believe in God written on the bullet say yes to pull the trigger DO you believe in God, Cassie pull the trigger. It's saying by standing up for her beliefs she shot herself, but it's not saying that's a bad thing

Whether or not Cassie was asked the question she was killed for being a Christian.
That's why those boys killed the people they did.
Because they were Christians.
Look it up.

This song is very powerful.

This song is inspired by Cassie Bernall. She was one of the Columbine Massacre victims. Eric Harris walked over to the table she was hiding under slapped the top twice with his hand, knelt down, and said peek-a-boo. He then asked her if she believed in God and she said yes, that is when he killed her.

This song really jumped out at me. I was watching some music videos of this particular song on you tube and it said in memory of Cassie one of the 15 shot on the day of the massacre. I was surprised and overwhelmed by the experience these kids must have gone through. They stood up for themselves saying yes they believed in god. They got killed for their religious rights which was unreasonable. They went down the hard way but stood up for what they believed in.

Actually, it is about the first first victim and Columbine but her name wasn't Cassie. It was Rachel Scott.
