Slipknot - Pulse of the Maggots Song MeaningsLyrics:This is the year where hope fails you The test subjects run the experiments And the bastards you know, is the hero you hate But cohesing i... (See the rest of these lyrics) Submitted by: anonymous Added: 2006-02-01 11:54:25   Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This song was written by the band's vocalist, Corey Taylor, after there was much controversy that the band would break up. Before the coming of their album "Volume 3: The Subliminal Verses" The band was highly stressed and close to falling apart. But the band worked together and wrote this song to show it's relationship with it's fans, and that It would always have their back and would stick together just because of the fans.
Submitted by: anonymous Finally someone who knows something about SLipKnOT.
Submitted by: anonymous It's that the band fed off the credit from their fands to become popular.
Submitted by: anonymous That sucks. I thought this song was against government and all normal people and stuff. Now it sucks. What a homo subject for a song.
Submitted by: anonymous The the guy above me, songs can have more then one meaning.
Submitted by: anonymous Homo subject? Haha then you could like it, xD.
Submitted by: domenic C'mon people! Just thank SlipKnoT that they wrote a song for the maggots!
Submitted by: anonymous Slipknot is all about the struggle for immortality and they hint it in every single one of their songs.
Submitted by: anonymous I've heard a lot of people saying that "pulse of the maggots" is about loyalty to the fans. But corey taylor is all about anti-establishment, so it could also be about rebelling against the government.
Submitted by: anonymous I agree with first dude.this song is totally about them staying together for the fans."say it again say it again,WE WONT DIE"suports that reasoning. It also means to me anyway that even if they do break up they will allway be lurking in the shadows ready to jump out at the music industries
Submitted by: anonymous This song is for both things and you have to leave it like that, but rebellion maybe is not the meaning maybe if for the ones you could give your life, even if you failed, well you tried
Submitted by: anonymous It doesn't matter what it's about just the fact that it rocks ass.... duh
Submitted by: CameronLowery I actually read an article about this song. It was quite interesting. It's about a bunch of fucking gothic fucks who slit their wrists, do massive amounts of drugs and listen to shitty bands like slipknot, cradle of filth, lamb of god, arch enemy and other incredibly shitty music. The music gets them so pissed at life that they will fuck dogs in the ass because they realize that they will never get any pussy because they, to be honest, are complete fucking idiots with no taste in music or woman. Thank you for your time, and good dog fucking.
Submitted by: anonymous In my own interpretation it is about how the fans should stand up for others I mean fuck they go crazy in the mosh pits and concerts why not go crazy on some bullies?
Submitted by: anonymous My interpretation is slipknot will always carry on by the fans even when there not together
Submitted by: slipknot3 Well I think if you say that the song sucks U R a fucking faggot and not a maggot. And the song was meant for the fans and if you think that the song was against government listen to the words
Submitted by: smiler I pretty much agree that it must be for the fans. The first verse does sort of make it sound 'anti-establishment' [as someone above me said] but the line 'we fight so no one can fight us. we live, no one can stop us' sounds much more like a statement to the fans or 'maggots' that we're here and we're not going anywhere. we revolt so we can't be controlled. pretty rockin' song and it shows their devotion to the music that they would write a song for their loyal fans.
Submitted by: anonymous I think like above that this song is for the fans and about how there music is anti-government. So this song isn't about anti-government but about there other songs which are saying that. And that doesn't matter what happens to the band as a whole the music is always there to give a second opinion on the government and that the Fans should stick together through thick and thin with or without the band because without the fans there would be no slipknot!
Submitted by: anonymous LOOK THIS IS A SITE FOR SONGS AND THERE MEANINGS, SO WILL YOU GUYS QUITE BEING LITTLE GIRLS AND STOP WITH THE FIGHTING!
Submitted by: anonymous I actually read the interpretation written by Corey himself and this song is about being loyal to the fans and letting them know that Slipknot will always be there for them.
