Beatles - Dear Prudence Song MeaningsLyrics:Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play? Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day The sun is up, the sky is blue It's beautiful and so are... (See the rest of these lyrics) Submitted by: anonymous Added: 2007-04-26 19:47:22   Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() This song is about Mia Farrows sister Prudence. When they were in india with the Ravi guy, they were spending much of their time meditating. Prudence Farrow was trying to reach the highest level of meditation. She was very stressed out and everyone was worried about her. John especially took a liking to her. She would not come out of her tent. She constantly would meditate. No matter how much the boys or anyone else asked her, she wouldn't come out. So John wrote the song and would sing it to her. Hence "Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play" I am familiar with the meaning of most of their songs, I've have done extensive research. I am a huge Beatle fan, I love this band, the greatest band to ever play.

Submitted by: anonymous One of the other reasons she wouldn't leave the room was because the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was sexually harassing her. The guy was a complete fake douche bag.
Submitted by: anonymous The tent thing makes so much sense...if you've seen Across the Universe.
Submitted by: anonymous Across the universe sucked. And it had nothing to do with the Beatles. It is a musical with its own plot line that just sings Beatles songs. They took the 10 "most known" songs from the Beatles and strung them together to make some dumb plot. Jude was hot though. But that chick totally butchered Why don't we do it in the road. which is one of the best songs Paul ever did.

Submitted by: anonymous I totally agree with you about Across the Universe. I loved it. I especially loved how they used the Beatles to express an anti-war opinion. I watched that movie at least 3 times in one day. It was so moving, every part of it. I wish so badly to be born in the 60's. So much history and the Beatles played a big part of it.
Submitted by: anonymous Also, in across the universe, I noticed two references to Jimi Hendrix, that had to do with the black guy, I forget his name.
Submitted by: lordofthesixsyllable The the person above me, I'm pretty sure that the person you're referring to was supposed to be a Jimi Hendrix, and Sadie was supposed to be a Janis Joplin.
