Unfortunately a recurring theme, because John never acknowledged it and Paul never came right out and said it. Always speaking in riddles. Both of them.
Submitted by: HelterSkelter Actually aside from Paul singing all the positive things and "you" saying all the negative things, there is no real relevance to Paul and John in this song at all. Paul was visiting a friend and the friend asked Paul if he'd ever though about the process of writting a song (the friend thought it was easy), and told Paul to come over to his piano and he'd show him. They both sat down and Paul's friend told him to play whatever, and he'd play along with Paul, he also told Paul that he would say a word and that Paul should say the opposite. After wards Paul came up with the demo for Hello goodbye. And that's that. Ejoy!
