Submitted by: anonymous This song is so sad. Um one point, why does anthony refer to hillel as a girl? is he gay or is it just you no best friend kinda thing? Also you no the bit about 'climb onto your seahorse', I think that's about surfing - not sure though.

Submitted by: anonymous I think there is a lot of confusion going on here. "This is the Place" is the song where he says "Can I get some vaseline/Step into a modern scene." "Dosed" is where Anthony sings "I got dosed by you/closer than most to you..." The former seems to be the Hillel song with its drug references but Dosed seems to be about love lost.
Submitted by: anonymous It's about a girl he used to know that died and he loved her but never got a chance to tell her and that's why he says "take it away I never had it anyway" and he means take away your love I never had it anyway meaning her love for him. remember "way up on the mountain were she died all I ever wanted was your life" because he wanted her to live so he could tell her that he loved her. Maybe that girl didn't actually die she just died in his head.

The song is about a girl he met that dies of a drug overdose (I think) that he fell madly in love with (his first) and never had the chance to say it. READ THE BOOK
