Mat Kearney: Where We Gonna Go From Here Meaning
Where We Gonna Go From Here Lyrics
Got me in a haze running for cover

You're right but I'd also like to add:
It also means that the girl's father is saving her for the best man, which either means, her father doesn't approve of him of wanting to be with her, or another interpretation is that she's getting married to someone and that's breaking his heart but he has to let go somehow...watching her from a distance, drifting further from her because now she will have a life of her own, with another man, without him as her man..because they were such close, great friends and he lost her after secretly wanting her for so long. "Seven hundred places, seven hundred faces.." means everywhere he goes, he will always think of her, of what could be.. but he's happy for her. This song is so sad.. especially with the acoustic guitar. Wow.. :*( -
I think that this guy really likes this girl and can't figure out whether to be friends, or more because he says "the back of your eyes look like my mothers, when we talk you're like my brother" so he establishes the friendship-trust thing, but then he says "where we gonna go from here?" so he's just doesn't know what to do about the fact that he's in love with a friend. but I'm not really all that sure. So if I'm way off let me know :)
