The guy is in love with the girl but he doesnt have the courage to tell her how he feel about her because he always sees her with the guy she loves." He looks at you the way that I would , does all the things , i know i could. If only time could just turn back." means he is exactly like the guy she loves and doesn't understand why she doesn't see him. He wishes he can turn back to the times he had a chance to tell her he loves her.He wishes he was loved by her. All us chikas can relate to this when we see our crush we absolutly love be with someone else and not get why he doesn't us. than we just end up wisheing we were the girl bcuz we dont have the guts to tell him our feelings for him. sorr this is really long i just REALLY love this song. hope this helped :)

'He takes your hand, I die a little.'
When the girl's boyfriend holds her hand, he dies inside, his chest constricts because he hates seeing his favorite girl with another guy.
'I watch your eyes and I'm in riddles. Why can't you look at me like that?'
The boy watches his crushes expressions and the love in her eyes, and doesn't understand why she can't see that he's loved her all along.
'When you walk by, I try to say it. But then I freeze and never do it. My tongue gets tied, the words get trapped.'
Basically, when the girl walks by, he tries to tell her that he loves her but his tongue gets tied and he freezes up (he can't get any words out).
'I hear the beat of my heart getting louder whenever I'm near you.'
His heart beats faster and harder because he gets nervous whenever he sees her.
Chorus (part one)

It's quite heart touching. A guy is in love with a girl who has not noticed him because she has someone else. Now he's wishing he was the one the girl was kissing and calling at night just to say goodnight. Also he's regretting not telling her those three words. If he could just turn back the time he could be with her as her boyfriend.

I can relate to the song but I think it means that like a girl but she doesn't know and every little thing that she do with someone else breaks their heart because they want it to be them doing...same with me
