Eddie Vedder is a sad man when he meets the love of his life. He would've jumped but she made his parachutes open. Now that she's dead, all the sadness is returning "infinitum". He doesn't need the waves (Vedder often associates surfing with life) to keep crashing back and forth; a wave will crash on him today. He just has a few things to say before he joins his lover. "Love- wish the world could go again with love. One can't seem to have enough" "War- break the sky and tell me what it's for, I'll travel there on my own". "Life- what a different life had I not found this love with you". The most beautiful suicidal thoughts I've ever heard, it's clear that this woman really changed the way Vedder thinks. Isn't that all love is? True love is the one person on earth that makes you the exact person you desire to be.
