   This song is all about Pink and her life growing up. How she used to hate herself. Hate herself because she thought she wasn't normal for not wanting to be like the other girls by things like...going to the prom, wearing make-up, and generally doing girly things.
   
   Her self-hate aimed at herself got so bad that she used to look in the mirror and feel tormented as she thought what she was looking at was 'bad' not 'normal' and she wanted, prayed, wished she was like other girls as she thought at the time that there was something wrong with her...hence the lyric:
   
   "Doctor, Doctor won't you please prescribe me something else...a day in the life of someone else"
   
   Basically, it's about self-hate....in the end, Pimk realised that she was who she was and there was nothing wrong with her, she was just her and that was ok.
   
   she didn't wanna follow the crowd, go to the prom, be like the rest and be drooling after the Jock on the football team etc etc.

   Hmmm well I m not really a fan of Pink the singer but now after hearing this song I am beginning to understand the lyrics
   Pink is simply describing how she hated her life growing up and desires to be a totally different person. And wants people to like her for whom she is despite being totally different
   I can totally relate because I felt un appreciated my entire life
   Having been different misunderstood not able to do things like other people can. Example sports and physical activities partly because I have a disability and that includes with weak eye and hand coordination . So that was a shame on my behalf. But yeah that s basically my understanding of the song
   It is a shame when people don't feel liked or appreciated for being different . I Love fact Pink wrote this song it s so meaningful!!!! Very great lyrics

    Well I think this song is about her hating herself and just having the mental illness and because of this someone would self injure as in her music video fucking perfect about the girl cutting herself because she also hates herself I think pink wrote both of these songs to express the fact that she's a self harmer and she says that she's a hazard to herself because she hurts her self physically and she hurts inside by being her self

    This song really is helping me get through my life and get through those painful thoughts. I have all these emptions inside that are starting to leak out randomly and I cant control it my parents have seriously said " Where is the old you?" and i havent told this to any one so yay these spngs help me express my emotions and help me learn how to get the anger fear pain and sadness out in other ways.
