You're My Best Friend Lyrics

Ooo. you make me live

You're the best friend
that I ever had
I've been with you such a long time
You're my sunshine
And I...

This I can honestly say is a love song to a girl that has always been there for him no matter what has happened. He never had a true friend but this girl.

I know, I know...Deacon wrote it for his wife. They were fortunate to have stumbled upon one another, met, became best friends. They would stand by each other thru it all, till the end. They were always their for each other, they were & still are, happy in love.

It's well known & officially acknowledged that "Best Friend" was written by Queen's bass player John Deacon, who wrote it for his wife Veronica, and it's truly a love song because John & Veronica are still married today, over 40 years later, with six children too.

The person who wrote this (John Deacon) was the bass player not drummer

Exactly, has to be drummer to his wife. I mean come on, Freddy Mercury was gay and barely hid it. He wouldn't hide behind the word "girl". Duh.

John says that he doesn't remember who the song is about, but "probably veronica"(ie his wife). Kind of evident in the line "i'm happy at home", as John was known to be the least wild of the four and always enjoyed spending time with his family, despite his major stardom. His wife was a friend who was always there for him...Etc...

This song is not about a girl. This song was written by John about one of his best friends, who is always there for him.
