Grow Up Lyrics

This is who I am
and this is what I like
GC, Sum and Blink and Mxpx rocking my room
if your looking for me I'll be at the show
I could never find a better place to go
Until the day I die
I promise I won't change
so you better give up

I...

I think this is a really great song. It is saying that they don't want to be mature, they just want to be who they are. It's about not wanting to be someone you're not. They're basically saying 'try as hard as you want to change me, but you can't.'

Not only is this song about not wanting to grow up, it is about hating it when poeple tell you to change and you just want to be true to yourself but they want you to be like evryone else.

I am the one that did this, I didn't know how this website worked so I messed up. Anyways, this is my interpretation. The song “Grow Up” is about being immature and proud of it. They want to have fun and not want to be told to grow up. It is about the world trying to make you be something you aren't, Simple Plan just want people to stay true to themselves. They are saying ‘Try as hard as you want to change me, but you can’t.’ Many people are trying to form and shape their identities, but they want to figure out life for themselves. They don't want anyone to tell them what they can and can't do. They feel like the world is going one way and they want to go another way. They want to be free and not have to deal with responsibilities.

I think the song means that you should stay who you are and dont chance just because someone tells you to or because most people who know act different. Most people expect that you go with the flow and that you act like an adult very soon, just because they have unlearned to have fun and so dont want others to have fun.

First of all "GC,Sum,Blink, and MXPX rocking my room" i love simple plan, sum 41, and blink 182: I Better check out Good Charlotte and MXPX! :P This song has an amazing message which is similar to the message of Whats my age again by Blink-182. The message is to stay a kid for as long as you can and dont listen to people who are trying to tell you to grow up and be like everybody else in this world of conformity. Be yourself and have fun!
