Slayer: Postmortem Meaning
Postmortem Lyrics
Holds the key to his own death
Entering a tomb of a corpse yet conceived

So, my interpretation of this would be that the person in question in the song is on their death bed, and slowly feels their life slipping away as they look back at their life's past. As the song goes on, we see this duality where the person is definitely afraid of death, but still sees comfort in it. They're afraid if their soul will reach heaven, or if it will be claimed by the devil. As the song reaches its end, we see that, no matter what happens, death will come for us, and it's futile to try and escape its grasp. "What I am, what I want, I'm only after death"

This song is about reflection at the time of death and a descent into hell. The person is trying to obtain life after death, by some kind of ritual, and they are punished for that and sent into the abyss.
-
This song is about the thought process of a person who has decided to commit suicide.

It's about satan taking your soul.

Close. It's about a guy... or girl. I'm not particular... who is looking back at his or her suicide. They wrote the song like star wars. The end is presented and then they show the beginning. "Do you WANT to die" is at the end. but in the beginning the person is dead. sooo... ya
