   I love this song - mainly because I was 25 when this album came out!

   People love chocolate, love, money, family, food, etc. this what the video is about. The singer had one love but he lost it just like the people who love life may lose it. I hate some metaphors.

   I can't believe nobody has written here!! Snow patrol are amazing!! Anyway thus song is about lots of things but mainly a relationship. "the roof of my mouth a I lie to you" he hasn't been very good to his girlfriend and he knows it...he obviously did something wrong hence the "just because I'm sorry" part and he sings you're the only thing Thad I love...meaning that after everything that's happened between them she has his heart and he sings "on my knees I think clearer" like he didn't really think about what he was doing and how good he had it, until she had him "on his knees" metaphorically and that made him think. "goodness knows I saw it coming or at least I'll claim I did" he didn't see what he had coming...the soil being thrown into the hole he dug for himself. "what have I done it's too late for that. What have I become" he only just realizes what he's done and how much he has lost, and truth isn't good enough to make up for it. "I promise I'll do anything you ask...this time" if she forgives him or accepts him again he will be loyal and obviously, do anything she asks.
   I love snow patrol so much, and this song isn't my favorite song, but the one I love the most. This song brings back so so so many memories!! I used to listen to it when I was a little girl. Me and this song go way back...love you long time snow
