I went to a concert in the Soundgarden Nine Inch Nails joint tour and this song was their finale.
Before the band started playing though Chris Cornell said something along the lines of this, "This song is about all the rich and wealthy people in our society that do nothing but take advantage of all of you guys (referring to the crowd) and of us (referring to the band and himself) who work for our living.
