   This song is about feeling held back by somebody, and trying to get away, but the person doesn't realize that you want to be free and keeps smothering you. Now you see that the person isn't what you had thought they were all along. And after finally getting free, all the person does is beg you to come back. But your fine without them, and must continue on your own.

   This song could easily be interpreted to someone who has been going through some kind of addiction. This includes withdrawals, "yesterday was hell, but today I'm fine without you" (yesterday could mean more than just one day)
   Someone getting off of drugs or alcohol and the cravings ""Beg me time and time again to take you back now but you can't win, Take back now my life you're stealing"
   Getting into recovery "And when the memory slips away, there'll be a better view from here" and "I'm holding on, by letting go of you"
