Fell In Love With A Girl Lyrics

Fell in love with a girl
fell in love once and almost completely
she's in love with the world
but sometimes these feelings
can be so misleading
she turns and says "are you alright?"
I said "I must be fine cause my heart's still...

It's about a guy who falls in love with a girl, and dedicates all of his love to her, but it is somewhat unrequited. The girl just wants to enjoy her life, and doesn't care about being in a relationship. The guy doesn't quite understand what's going on, but the logical part of his brain, the left one, realizes that she's losing all interest in him. He doesn't know what to do, and he says she's looking for something new, and finds himself repeating this multiple times. Some say it's a song about being in the friendzone. At this point in my life, it's my favorite song, and it somewhat summarizes the situation I'm in as well as how I feel about things.

It's funny watching modern incels angry at the fictional girl in this twenty five year old song. It probably makes their neckbeards itch.

from my point of view this sounds like a lesbian falling for a straight girl, it refers to so many problems society puts on lesbian relationships saying its not a real relationship (he dont consider it cheating)the line "cant think of anything to do" sounds to me like a new lesbian in her first relationship with a girl not understanding how to be sexually intimate with a woman, because people tend to only talk about straight sex. she understands the woman is straight and that the love is only a phase yet shes driven by pure emotion, however this straight girl she fell for is only driven by looking for something new essentially using her for the thrill

The song is about a sociopathic slut who puts on a good ruse of being a good person but enjoys manipulating men (and more than likely anyone who she can sink her hooks into) and causing pain and turmoil then cries victim when it’s revealed what type of person she really is. Stay away from these types of people.

Could be about a girl who's in a relationship with Bobby but has permission to be with others. And the person in the role of singing this song doesn't know how to take this kind of situation. He's in love with her but knows this is just kind of like an expirement or her trying something new.
People say it can either be from a bisexual or lesbian perspective- but to me it seems to be about open relationships in general.
    But I could be wrong.

The singers a guy. Nice idea with the whole "cheating bisexual" shit, but a dude sings this.

It's not about a girl's "lesbian experience".*hurl* It's about a girl who's a playa, and a guy trying to deal with that. Duh.

I think it's about him first meeting his wife Karen, who has red hair, which is mentioned in loads of their songs including this: 'Red hair with a curl'

The song is about a girl's first lesbian experience.

"she turns and says "are you alright?"
I said "I must be fine cause my heart's still beating"
She says "come and kiss me by the riverside, bobby says it's fine he don't consider it cheating""

Well, she asks her if it was alrogth because she's never experienced something like that before, a girl kissing a girl. And why does Bobby not consider it cheating?, because a lot of guys don't consider girl on girl action cheating.

"she's just looking for something new
and I said it once before
    but it bears repeating"

THe narrator just keeps telling herself that she shouldn't like the girl because she just wants to experience something new, and not be with her

Well I think it's about falling in love with a girl (hence the name)and then having second thoughts about her after thinking she might be dating someone else.
