   in my opinion, the meaning is you are really like someone, yet you cannot show it.
   
   You will have so many reasons for this.You cannot show your feeling because internal or external reason.
   You can personally too shy, or you cannot show it because your status/condition.
   
   my experience, this kind of feeling is suck.
   It is right that you have to choose, you have to show it or leave it.
   In my experience I choose to let it go. It is hard, but I never chase a man.

   It's about liking/loving someone so much but can't explain to them. First verse is saying how they think of them everyday but doesn't have courage to letting them know.
   So thinks about taking the easy way out (letting go)
   The chorus is saying if they let go (give up) then they will never know what their life would be like with them.
   Basically, it's a 'what if' story

   Someone who loves this girl . She understands him like no other and he hides it fo whatever reason but doesn’t let her go because he can’t stand the thought of being away from her outand not knowing
   Again he says he’s shy and proud at the same time and thinks of taking the easy way out

   To me, this song is about a guy chasing a gal but it is not working out. He contemplates that giving up would be the easier path but he considers that it would be painful thinking about their possible future (what my life would be holding you close to me)

   This song is not about depression or suicidal thoughts.
   
   In my opinion, it’s about a guy who has a feeling for someone but he can’t tell it to her. It says they are worlds apart. Possibly they are far away from each other or their worlds are totally different. Perhaps they have differences in personalities, likes, dislikes, etc.
   
   It talks about love. Listen carefully and you will get the meaning of this song.

   Depression worsens by time.
   Most people are not able to express it, some hide it behind a smile.
   
   Sometime, they are surrounded by love, yet still feel lonely.
   
   And, then those suicidal thoughts..
