   I think this is about being so in love with someone and it could be an unrequited love. These two people they're opposites and they've been through stuff and he thinks she still feels the same as he does but her feelings have burnt out, he hopes and pines on a possible relationship, regardless of the fact that she's hurt him and made him feel these negative things and then he comes to reality and thinks, "well is this gonna work?"

   He's lost this girl which he's fell in love with, and he's trying his hardest to get her back but everything seems to be against him, without her he's a mess. He misses her a lot, they've had their problems but have got through them. It seems as if she's lied to him but he's forgiven her and gave her a chance, It also seems as if they are very different 'opposite' but they love each other. At the end of the song he is questioning their relationship.. will they always be together?
