   I love the honesty of Lady Gaga!! I believe that she teaches us through her lyrics that jesus is not who everyone thought he was. Lady Gaga tells us we are our own jesus by expressing what is real and honest to each and every individual. That we should not be followers but be leaders be our own jesus. Lady Gaga says she stepped out on broadway unsure but knowing that if you work and believe in YOU and not some imaginary character such as jesus you will succeed. Lady Gaga is a true inspiration in a world that does not know or want to lead but follow like blind sheep.

   BLACK Jesus, I think refers to a different Jesus, not the one in the bible, but a new, more accepting, more equality driven Jesus that would be more popular (more fashionable) in the times we live in.

    The line "Jesus is the new black" seems similar to "gay is the new black", perhaps she is singing about Jesus or chistianity being really beaten down, discriminated or persecuted and she's saying it's not so bad, the way she sings "amen" resembles black gospel, meaning she's supporting Jesus, and encouraging him(his followers perhaps, or just the idea) to be open and strut their stuff, that religion can be fashionable, even for Gay people.
