Is Independence a concept, or the city and they forgot to capitalize it? It’s a great song, but just curious, and since grammar and punctuation are things of the past, it makes it hard to understand some things.

So basically she has lived in this town her entire life and wants to go somewhere else and have adventure and new opportunities.
