   It is a powerful and emotional song about how hard it is to get over somebody you care about. It’s a step by step process and it hurts so much. The song also talks about how no matter what you do, you can’t escape the pain of true heartbreak.

   Personally I think this song is amazing. my interpretation is that first you start off still new to heartbreak. you feel like its the worst ever and that it can't get any worse because the thing inside of you is broken in pieces. you're still figuring it out. how much it hurts. scale of 1-10 maybe? second is where you realize it does get worse and its going to keep hurting and the feeling that nobody loves you and realizing its actually over. third is where your world feels like its split down the middle. Fourth you tell yourself your getting better. you think you've "fixed yourself." fifth you see them around dating somebody else and that leads to the sixth where u blame it on yourself. you question yourself. and realize even after all this pain. you would take them back in a heartbeat.
