    I have just read Rosemary's interpretation of 'Summer Wine' and I would like to say I loved this very much and I agree with her 100%,its also worthy to note that cover versions can convey subtle differences to the song ie Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood is a more earthy and dark kinda lust, whereas Andrea Corr and Bono is more ethereal methinks.

    The song is about a meeting between to strangers, a man and an woman. There is an attraction and she says "take of your silvers spurs and help me pass the time" - they end up in bed.. She serves him summerwine, I think this song has a sexual content - summerwine is not.. Summerwine!

    he is totally crazy for this woman, can't think clearly and craves for more of her. when he wakes up in the end the silver spurs and money is gone...
