Georgia Pineywoods Lyrics
-
Similar in theme to Rockytop, this old bluegrass song is nostalgic for auld lang syne. Pineywoods is slang for evergreen (predominantly varieties of pinetrees in Georgia) forest. Creek and Cherokee tribes are indigenous to the area. Borden's cow is famous for her smiling picture on their dairy products. Owing more money than Caesar's wife obviously means he's in debt. Everything else would seem obvious.
