Sebastian Bach wrote this song in response to his friend Steven Adler's serious heroin addiction. The horse is a direct reference to heroin. Watching someone you care about become addicted to drugs, esp heroin & throwing their life away while being powerless to stop it is such a painful thing to experience. This is an amazing song & also a deeply personally meaningful song.
