Magic Lyrics
I knew you'd be gone as soon as you could
And I hoped you would
We could see that you weren't yourself
And the lines on your face did tell
It's just as well
You'd never be yourself again
Saw you last...

This is a song of love for someone who has died from a painful disease. The singer is singing the love song where he imagines the deceased dancing in the moon light with stars in their eyes, free from the pain of the disease and restored to their former beautiful glory, and changing places with an angel. The imaginings of the dance in the moon light under the stars comes to the writer while staring up at the stars from the window of his bed room at night.
