Guys Like You Make Us Look Bad Lyrics

you scream don't look, you scream don't touch
what have they done? what have i not?
and every time i think about your voice i
start to tremble, and my throats aching
and anytime you need a shoulder, i'm right here
you've just gotta find...

Okay, my interpretation is a little more in-depth...maybe I think too much. XD

I agree that this song is about a girl who was raped, but I think it's more than that. I believe that this isn't the actual scene, I think this is her TELLING her lover what happened...

"You scream don't look, you scream don't touch"--Her self-conciousness and lack of desire for contact as a result of the event.

"What have they done, what have I not?" He's thinking this line...meaning, what did this monster do to my love, and how could I have not protected her? He's beating himself up over not being there to protect her in the first place.

"Every time I think about your voice I start to tremble, and my throat's aching"--He's thinking of what she must of sounded like, screaming and trying to say no...it hurts his throat as much as it must have hurt hers.

"And any time you need a shoulder, I'm right here...just gotta find a way." Pretty simple--telling her that he's there for her, and that they just have to find a way to survive this low-blow.

"She sits alone, tries to adjust. She cries, 'Please, let me go, I won't tell anyone'" I think this is his picturing the scenario, as well--it switches to third-person to show the bigger picture of what's happening.

"Oh, God, please help us...get her out of this."--His final breakdown.

This is the picture that came to my head the first time I listened to the song. A bit morbid, but, you know...lol =]

someone told me that the song was about him seeing his sister getting raped. I do not know if this is true or not or even if he has a sister but the title "guys like you make us look bad" i think it migh be about a sterotype like "all jocks are big and stupid" i do not believe that to be true either

It is actually about a little sister of a band member being raped by her father. He locked her up so she wouldn't tell anyone so they wouldn't get in trouble. In the end in the video the back opens, her brother went and let her out which is the person carrying her off in the end. This is what it's about.

I think it's about a girl and possibly her boyfriend taking advantage of her, and raping her.
"Guys Like You Give Us a Bad Name" - Most guys are douches, giving all guys a bad name.

The song is about Craig Mabbit's little sister being raped, and he watched, and didn't say a word about it.

Its all about rape and abuse. The little girl is being abused and the man doing it is a priest. He's saying that the priests that have been doing all the shit to kids are making other priests, catholics, and christians in general look bad.

Obviously it's about a girl being raped.

I like the long one posted, makes a lot of sense.

    BUT;

"Oh God please help us, get her out of this." may be BOTH parents worrying. I think it was just a kidnapper.

"And anytime you need a shoulder, I'm right here
You've just gotta find a way. " He's right there, she's just got to get through with this, and make it to him.

This is how I see it.

The girl is praying to god for a better parent that won't abuse her, take advantage of her, etc. and that how I found it because of the title
"guys like you make us look bad" meaning that abusive parents give parents in general a bad name.

This song I think is about someone trying to take advantage of a girl and that she is telling them not to. Somewhere someone is looking out for her and asking god to help her..

Hmm.. I think this song is about maybe abuse:
"You scream don't look, you scream don't touch"
or maybe being kidnapped or something like that
"She sits alone, tries to adjust
She cries please let me go I won't tell anyone
You scream don't look, please god don't touch"..also the song title was picked for a reason....
