(I Used To Make Out With) Medusa Lyrics

Dead hands clutch my arm
The smell of death fills the air
Her fragrance,
Her carcass reanimates.

Oh, if you need me
I'll be tying a rope to the tree
Where our love used to be.

I've took down every photo of us and buried them at sea.
I've took...

It sounds and feels to me that this individual ''fell in deep water'' to be ''making out'' with love for this woman, that he tried to possess. Then he wanted out 'cause he was way to much over his head with her while getting paranoid, imagining the loose noose tighting around his neck. Which spooked him that he could be eventually turned to stone and needed to run away from her[medusa's] eyes with a lot of hurtful freaked out memories that was caused in their relationship. In Mythology Medusa became Poseidon's wife against the vows she made to the Goddess Athena, only to be punished with snakes growing out of her head that was exchanged for her golden hair. Her punishment was to be casted out with them in the far away ''dry places''. Where it's attraction was for lost Daemons to come to her and if ever somebody looks at her eyes, nevermind if somebody ''makes out'' with her will be turned to stone, unless today's Hero symbollialy finds a way to ''make out'' with Medusa's head out of fear never to be the same again by symbollicaly cutting it off like in the ledgend of Perseus to overcome his fear of the Monster that was made or imagined in his mind. A quote by Manly P. Hall [r.i.p] who was one of the greatest educators for all people to know their true identity in their society. ''Fascinated by the glitter of gain, man gazes at the MEDUSA- like face of greed and stands petrified''.

I think its just about an Oli exgirlfriend that was "toxic" and she was with him just because he is famous. He loved her but he realised that she wasn't worth it.
"i took [...] every photo, and burried them at see" it means that he forgot about it and he wont remember that relationship. In this lyrics we can even read how Oli describes that she was beautifull (not only out side) but when he realised that she is a whore, he saw that she is ugly because "really beauty is under the skin" . He want revenge.
