   this song is about a woman whose had a previous love who she's not over yet. she'll give the man money, car, and her body; however, she can't give him her love. there's a difference to be in love with someone and to love someone. no matter how good or nice he is to her, she'll never offer her heart because it's already been broken.

   Dear stage 4 cancer, I agree with you on what this song means. You have spoken so much truth when you say that it is about a woman who has a santuary where she can go away from all the hurt she has endured. Sorry that you found your soul mate with so little time but some people spend a whole lifetime and never find there soul mate. I would like to tell you that I am completely blown away and strongly inspired by you and your true grace of embracing that you have cancer. However, I wish you wouldn't have let someone (the doctor) put a toe tag on you. Live your life to the fullest and though we all are destined to die, may you be remembered as the Strong Beautiful Woman that others, especially your soul mate will always be inspired by. May he one

   I think this song represents alot more than most think in my opinion anyways. I think it's about someone done so wrong all her life her "her secret garden is her only santuary from the pain she has endured.I know I have one I'm 34 and dying from stage 4 lung cancer .I was diagnosed 2 months after meeting MR.WONDERFUL .He stays by my side when I'm not running away to hide in my secret garden .I waited so long for someone like him . I had already met Mr.Wrongs. The sad thing is we both needed each other and have had an AMAIZING time together until I got sick .I see the hurt in his eyes we finally found our soul mates ,I have to leave him behind.We tried to fit a lifetime into a few months . Sadly our million miles didn't get us far .

   To me, this about one person who was once in a relationship with her advising another (possibly an affair partner) that despite how she 'let's you think / believe / want.. you will never reach the place she hides. She is the master of delusion / deception & allure.. you will be mesmerised, caught up in the whole attraction, but you will never be fulfilled..because someone else was there and had it all with her first..You may think you have it in reach,or even already have it but she holds something back (the secret garden)that you can never ever have.

   I believe this about a woman who puts up a false front; that is, people see one dimension of her but there's a whole other layer to her (the secret garden) that her lover is slowly beginning to see. Eventually he truly understands her, and has found true happiness there. It took a million miles to get there, but it was worthwhile.

   i think this song is about a strong woman who is very protective and guarding but at the same time she loves so deeply. she has this wall around her but if she sees u and you really see her too.she'll let you into depths of her..it'll be hard to know where she will end and he'll start. for me its one of the most beautiful songs ever.

   i agree with the second person who posted, but the song is about this woman having a part of her that regardless of how close she gets with a guy she is always hiding this part of her " a million miles away" interesting lyrics but an even better song owwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!

    And the lines " everything you need, everything you want, will always stay, A MILLION MILES AWAY"? means something good? Would you like to be in a relationship like that? One in which the things you need and want will always be so far away they're out of reach? It seems to me the beauty of the song lulls people into a false interpretation of it.

    I believe this song is about a woman who is hard to break. She won't let anyone fully in but her actions show that she cares about the man. She keeps this guy on his on his toes... She's had a difficult life and die to that she has some "flaws" but what she doesn't know is thta the man she loves... Loves her "flaws" and secrets. He loves who they have turned her into...
