Another way to interpret and experience this powerful and inspirational song by Cat Stevens[Yusuf Islamb] that's known to be about having a strong faith and the concern of dying in one's self journey through life. with more of a thanksgiving to God for giving him strength to pull himself away from the bad influences to sin. and for separating himself from the 'constructions of social reality' and it's unlawful, but legally strong illusions of them, that were becoming too unreal for him, trying to stay spiritually alive within the western thaught and freewill imagination. which was beginning to be weakend in the individual by way of man's practicing bad relegions, profiting in the name of the crucified Christ, who then was feeling bullied, like trapped or boxed in as a living soul true believer, that was relating metaphorically and synbolicaly in distancing himself in meditation to break away with the thought of 'samson' as he was called in the old biblical story, where he was raised up in the 'nazarite tradition' to take up the holy vow call of God to not indulge in the strong drinks of sinning, while one only should let his hair grow long for obtaining God's strength. and if it was to be shaved or cut off in one's sleep for who's ever ungodly purpose, God's will, will wake you up again to restore your site and regrow your strength to you from the place you all started from. All by your faith in God.

A awesomely great song that I believe could also be about one boy's adventurous journey through life on Earth. who's ''sitting'' and meditating in zen or god consciousness, by way of Astro projecting himself, in order to UNDERSTAND the heliocentric thaught mindset that schooled the belief system of a NASA astronaut. who ''imagined himself as one'' taking off on a space mission of a lifetime for a distant Planet. where CAT STEVENS warned us boys 'the space cadets' of our time that looked up to NASA-''You're going to wind up where you started from''. who finally crashed landed back there on that Planet's WATERSIDE, not knowing it was ''back to Earth's' near future. similar to what happened, that was discovered at the end of the ''PLANET OF THE APES'' movie. where MAN with his unstoppable Leftist thaughts and ideas only found himself back on his inclosed and god created Earth, where if we push too hard without 'stopping' our crazy Leftist thaughts and ideas, that not only destroyed our past history, but God forbid we could destroy our future also and ''you're going to still wind up where you started from'',but even further down.
''Sitting'' was and is a powerful song about your belief in the faith to find your way on the path with a godly hairising goose bumps experience. Energized in a cyclical order out of ''Catch Bull At Four'' album by CAT STEVENS about following your intuition and bliss going thru life from it's beginning, feeling that we were born from above, with our first thoughts when hearing about the goodness of God to be on our way. By believing in Him, giving us this ''physical birth first'' that could be easily influence by the Moon [Sin ful nature] that sruggles with us on this world by all the unhealthy reality that the deceiver makes by illusions and addictions. In bad company by these temtations needs to stop and desintegrate [die] in a Godly believer, not to lose his soul that keeps pushing his faith hard towards receiving ''the second birth'' which is the spiritual birth born of the Spirit[God's Holy Spirit] from where he originally started from by grace to become a born again individual soul on the journey of life to live righteously in the hope to find the road back towards God for the soul to complete the circle of life back to Him. Or,otherwise this song by ''Sitting'' down in the mind of ''Zen'', like the first and last verses where you could end up ''somewhere not so far from here'' ''You're going to wined up where you started from'' ''You're going to wined up in a place down and far'' in your mind.
