It's just a song about a new relationship and how some people over-think those relationships and it ruins it. In my personal opinion, I see it as that and as a reminder that yeah, we all have expectations and that's what can ruin the magic, but some times those expectations make us try TOO HARD. It changes us. When instead, we should just be ourselves and have fun with our significant other, no one knows for sure what the future holds so just be there for one another, have fun. Keep it simple.
